I sought a second opinion, and it was confirmed. Later, I found chatter on the web about bad products from Moog. I think they got Moog units with the above-described 2024 replacement, but I can't be sure. Im not sure who made the factory installed ball joints for the 190 , but i believe that the w124 factory installed tie rods, centerdrag link and ball joints were made by TRW and Lemforder. good luck.
