Web2 jan. 2011 · The idler pulley on my 97 ford f150 4.6 liter v8 engine broke off and the bolt broke off with it. I bought a new idler pulley but it does not come with the shouldered bolt. Does anyone know what size this bolt is. Got a local Ford dealer? Go there to parts..should have the info. Did you turn the bolt the wrong way trying to loosen it? In fact it'll spin slower and logically the bearings in it should last longer due to that fact. I replaced mine with one from the 4.0 after that and never looked back.
