Is this normal? Some recommended drain and flush the CVT fluid, but I just reached 14k, and last service was done 2 weeks ago (service#2). WebDec 1, 2024 · I do hear the whine, it is normal when the CVT is cold, but it should quiet somewhat to considerably after the CVT warms up. It will always make that sound to varying degrees. When I get on the highway I like to accelerate from a dead stop to 60 by flooring it. Otherwise I drive very sedately. But the OB is quite a pig with the 2.5i and performance needs to be squeezed out of it.
